The government is investing up to $27 million in funding for the Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada’s Youth Employment and Skills Program (YESP) over 2 years - including close to $13.47 million for the 2026-27 program year.
This program is designed to help youth, including those facing barriers, aged 15 to 30, gain work experience and skill development opportunities in the agriculture and agri-food sector and provides non-repayable contributions to employers which can be used towards the youth wages and benefits.
